Tour Itinerary
Day 01: Kochi
On arrival at the airport of Kochi (Cochin), our representative with placard welcomes you and assist you towards the pre-reserved hotel. Relax in the hotel or enjoy the leisure time in your own independent activities. Stay overnight at the Kochi hotel.
Day 02: Kochi
After enjoying yummy breakfast, exploration of the city begins with the fascinating Portuguese town, where you visit the Fort Kochi, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing net, and Spice markets. In the evening, enjoy shopping in the market of Kochi. Stay overnight at the hotel in Kochi.
Day 03: Houseboat
After the breakfast proceeds to Alleppey. Alleppey is just a 1hour drive from Kochi and popular as the hub of Kerala's backwaters. Feel the super luxury houseboat stays. Check into a pre-booked houseboat and feel home. The houseboats are traditional modes of transport now equipped with all requisite modern luxuries. Set yourself free and feel the cool breeze flowing over your face. The magnificent and awesome view of green jungles, Chinese fishing nets, swaying coconut palms and paddy farms might leave you amazed. Later, enjoy delicious food and experience the night on the backwaters of Kerala. Stay overnight at the houseboat.
Day 04: Periyar National Park
After the breakfast, proceeds for Periyar, by road. The road journey would be around 4 hours. Treat your eyes to the beautiful views of the surrounding. After reaching Periyar, check-in at the Treehouse resort. After you settle into your treehouse, the day would be spent in enjoying the exotic and diversified wildlife of the national park. Enjoy the boat ride in the calm water of Lake Periyar that is one of the best things to do in Periyar. The boat ride would be an unforgettable experience where you would be able to enjoy the sighting of animals like boars, deer, elephants and colorful birds on the bank of Periyar Lake. Day 05: Periyar National Park
After the breakfast, the day would be spent on a jeep safari or an elephant safari. Periyar is an amazing combination of spectacular attractions and rich biodiversity. Periyar is home to a vast diversity of animal and bird species such as tiger, King Cobra, Nilgiri langur, Kingfisher, great Malabar hornbill, gaur, barking deer, Python, Indian wild dog, Sambar, elephant and many more. Overnight stay at Periyar.
Day 06: Madurai
After the breakfast proceeds for Madurai which is also known as the Athens of the East. On arrival Check-in at the hotel. Spend the leisure time in your independent activities and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Madurai
Post breakfast visits the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple, which is one of the biggest temple complexes in India and dedicated to Goddess Parvati and her consort Lord Shiva.
Post lunch, the afternoon enjoy the sightseeing. In the evening, take part in the Prayer at the Meenakshi Temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Thanjavur/ Tanjore
After breakfast proceeds to Tanjore. En-route, visit the Chidambaram temple, a Hindu temple which is dedicated to Thillai Nataraja - Shiva, the Cosmic Dancer. Also known as Thillai Natarajah Temple. It was built between the 12th - 13th centuries.
On arrival in Tanjore, check-in your pre-booked hotel. Spend the leisure time in your independent activities or take walk in the city to know the lifestyle of local people. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Thanjavur/ Tanjore
After the breakfast, the day is scheduled for sightseeing tour of Tanjore covering its stunning temples. Begin the temple tour of Tanjore with Brihadeeswarar Temple – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dedicated to Lord Shiva.This temple was built during the empire of Chola ruler Raja Rajan.
The other attractions of the day include the Art Gallery and the Saraswathi Mahal Library, the Srirangam temple complex - located on an island in the River Cauvery and finally Sri Ranganathaswami Temple. By evening come back to hotel and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Pondicherry
After breakfast proceed towards Pondicherry. On arrival in Pondicherry, check-in your pre-booked hotel. After freshening up visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram and the Sacred Heart Church. Sri Aurobindo Ashram was founded by Sri Aurobindo. Apart from being a sacred site, Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is an oriental specimen of the Gothic style of architecture. The last attraction, Raj Niwas, is the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Pondicherry. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Chennai
After breakfast proceed towards Chennai. Upon arrival, check-in your pre-booked hotel. Spend the leisure time in your own independent activities. You can go for a walk to enjoy the local surroundings. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Chennai
After breakfast, leave your hotel for a city tour. Chennai is also known as the ‘Gateway of South’. The attractions of the day include the San Thomas Cathedral Basilica, Mylapore, Sri Parthasarathy Temple, Kalakshetra, Theosophical Society, the St. Mary's Church and Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. By evening come back to the hotel and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Chennai – Departure
In the morning after breakfast, our representative would escort you to the airport to board your flight for home.
